Part One: Take note Canada! A conference by a fanatical antisemitic organisation is about to take place.
Take note Canada! On January 18. 2025, the City of Mississauga, in the province of Ontario once again is showing its true colors by agreeing to allow a conference by the Jew-hating Hizb ut-Tahrir one of the most perilous and fanatical antisemitic Muslim radical organizations in the world.
This is the second time around they have attempted to host a conference in Canada. Last year after Hizb ut-Tahrir was declared a terrorist entity in the UK their event was cancelled.
For the uninitiated, let me tell you about Hizb ut-Tahrir.
Hizb ut-Tahrir. Antisemitic to the core. A primary threat to our daily lives.
For over 15 years I have been stirred into action in writing about one of the most perilous and fanatical antisemitic Muslim radical organizations in the world. They call themselves Hizb ut-Tahrir, The Islamic Party of Liberation. In all likelihood, if you live in the USA or Canada, you’ve never heard of them. And since they are not designated as a terrorist group by either of the two countries, you probably would not give them credibility as a dangerous source to our way of life. Well, you’re wrong! They are certainly a primary threat to our daily lives.
In essence, Hizb ut-Tahrir, or for the sake of simplicity as I will now refer to them in this article as “HuT”, promotes itself as a political party. It utterly rejects democracy and capitalism. Based on its puritanical interpretation of Islam, its goal is worldwide jihad against democratic societies and to replace those countries with a Caliphate. In classical Islamic law, the term jihad refers to an armed struggle against unbelievers, which fits in very agreeably with their version of Islam.
It is estimated HuT has more than one million members spread through over 33 countries. Their timing is impeccable. Their aim is clearly defined. And they are here, amongst us, unobtrusively attempting to gather believers to their cause in the USA and Canada.
Over the years numerous countries have banned or severely curtailed HuT, including Muslim-majority countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Egypt, Jordan, Bangladesh, and Pakistan. In the West, The UK, France, Germany, and the Netherlands have banned Hizb ut-Tahrir. So has India, Russia and China, However, since they are not considered a terrorist group in the USA or Canada they continue to operate liberally in these two nations.
As seen in this Australian Broadcasting Company interview, their leaders are articulate, arrogant, well-educated and when interviewed have done a good job of avoiding answering questions about their real intentions with a stylish line that could have been written by the best PR spin doctors in the business.
HuT regards itself as a peaceful pan-Islamist political party. Utter rubbish! Here’s a selection of quotes from their sources:
“Al-Quds [Jerusalem] cannot be liberated by resorting to protests and sit-in… it can only be restored by mobilizing armed forces to eliminate the Jewish entity!
“That way is to mobilize the Muslim armies and bring together all able-bodied Muslims to eliminate the Jewish entity from its roots and only then will the al-Aqsa be liberated and cleared of the scum and evil of the Jews and their offsprings….
“The way is to regard entire Palestine as one right from the banks of the river in the east to the sea in the west, without differentiating the lands occupied in 1948 or in 1967; whoever relinquishes even one part of the land, actually facilitates surrender of part after part, whoever displays weakness, humiliation is his destiny…”-18th Shawwal, 1430 A.H. Hizb ut-Tahrir. October 6, 2009
“The attack of 9/11 was conceived, planned and implemented by the CIA to justify unleashing naked American power in the drive for global hegemony and piracy under the motto: no voice above the war on terrorism.” – Osman Bakhach, the Director of the Central Media Office of Hizb ut-Tahrir, December 2013 Jakarta Indonesia.
HuT is not a recent upstart. It was founded in 1953 in Jordanian Jerusalem by Taqiuddin al-Nabhani, an Islamic scholar and Palestinian Sharia judge. From its small beginnings, HuT has matured into a globally sophisticated and well-heeled international media organization.
HuT’s Central Media Office is located in Beirut, Lebanon with vast multi-media interests including a newspaper, a magazine, a radio station, and translation of content into English, Arabic, German, Turkish, Farsi, and Urdu. They maintain the illusion they have an interest in reaching their goals of a caliphate peacefully and through non-violent means. They believe the establishment of their caliphate will provide stability and security. This forms part of their primary objective.
They are also absolute in their obsessive genocidal political mandate to eliminate the State of Israel and its people, including for good measure, all Jews worldwide, in whatever means they have at their disposal.
In the UK during 2007 BBC's Panorama first took HuT to the task. A former British supporter, referring to HuT stated, “They always promoted hatred, they promote hostility…”
How strong is the case against HuT? Well, in Denmark, commentaries by HuT go back even further. In 2003 NewsnigHuT revealed HuT had published a leaflet in Denmark attacking Jews: “Kill them wherever you find them, and turn them out where they have turned you out.”
The current global leader of HuT is the antisemite Ata Abu RasHuTa, an intellectual who doesn’t mince his words. He was sentenced to three years in prison for an interview published in 1995 in the journal al-Hiwar. He was later imprisoned for a further six months for membership in an “unlicensed organization”.
From Western media? Hardly a whimper!
The Western media, especially in the USA and Canada, fail miserably – indifference comes to mind – to inform its audience about Hizb ut-Tahrir America. Over the years HuT has seen fit to change its aggressive and ominous media campaign to that of a benign and playful soul, let’s-get-together-over-a cup of tea to engage in a healthy dialogue with thinkers, policymakers, and academics. Don’t be misled by their smooth talk.
Here, amongst all the platitudes, is a statement made by one of the HuT’s American members.
“In accordance with Islamic Sharia, Hizb ut-Tahrir issues no violent means for political change in re-establishing an Islamic state… ” which is diametrically opposed to their other such statements as:
“Kill them [the Jews] wherever you find them, and turn them out where they have turned you out.”
“It is the one to destroy the Jewish state and to restore Palestine wholly into the hands of Islam.”
“A conveyor belt for terrorists.”
Zeyno Baran is a noted Turkish American scholar on issues ranging from US-Turkey relations to Islamist ideology to energy security in Europe and Asia. She was the Director of the Center for Eurasian Policy and a Senior Fellow at the Hudson Institute, a think tank based in Washington, D.C. In 2004, as the Nixon Center Director for International Security and Energy Programs, she authored a masterful 139-page monograph titled Hizb ut-Tahrir: Islam’s Political Insurgency, much of the content of which continues to be increasingly more relevant today than at any other time. Baran describes HuT as a “conveyor belt for terrorists.”
Baran states:
“The West should not tolerate the further spread of HuT’s intolerance. HuT has been able to spread hate-filled, anti-Semitic, and anti-constitutional ideas thanks to Western “tolerance” of HuT’s intolerance. HuT is using the West’s own slogans and principles to weaken the West’s fundamental social structures. Western governments, educators and religious leaders need to combat HUT’s hate- 134 filled ideology with the same sorts of social weapons they use to combat other, non-Islamic forms of intolerance.”
She adds:
Like al-Qaeda, whose founding charter defines it as the “pioneering vanguard” of Islamic movements, HuT declares itself to be the “ideological vanguard” of the Islamist movements. Just as al-Qaeda “showed the way” for other armed groups by destroying two of America’s most prominent landmarks, HuT blazes a path for other radical groups by destroying America’s most prominent ideological principles: democracy and capitalism. HuT has provided Muslims with a compelling, satisfying explanation of why the Islamic world fell behind the West. In HuT’s view, the only way to close the gap is to destroy the existing order…
To promote this view and to gain support, HuT uses a mixture of communist methodology, Wahhabi theology and fascist rhetoric. Unlike other radical Islamist movements, who fight HuT against the militaries in Muslim states, HuT brings these forces to its side by infiltrating the security services with a radical political interpretation of Islam. The group’s cell structure is similar to that of the Bolsheviks. HuT believes the Bolsheviks failed to extend their dominance even further because they lacked sufficient faith—and since HuT has faith in abundance, its victory is inevitable.”
I now wait to see if there is sufficient pressure from Canada’s Jewish diaspora to make sure the January 18, 2025 convention is cancelled.
Part Two of this article will appear next week.
